Two prizes were available:

1. A painting workshop in the Florentine hills for one person soon to be taken by

2. A painting, your choice, one out of of three, see the chosen one to the right.

 

The painting workshop:

The painting workshop is available for one person for one day. The date of the workshop is open to the Slowtraveller. These workshops are open to three people so it may not be a one on one lesson.

painting in Florence

No experience is necessary.
All professional quality materials are supplied by Angie - alias Tuscanartist. All transportation, preparations for painting and all cleaning up after painting is included in the lesson. Angie will be your instructor. You just paint.

The painting you make remains yours but the painting materials you use for the day are on loan for the time of the workshop. It is your responsability to get your painting home.

 

Painting in the Florentine hills

You may be a beginner or professional artist that wants to paint in Florence for the day.

The classes start with making thumbnail sketches and then painting directly in oils with a full color palette.

Meet at the studio see map at 8:30 AM go to painting site and work with Angie until approximately 1:00 pm. In case of rain painting will be held in the studio painting still lifes or learning to copy a painting or the workshop can be postponed. Lessons held in English or Italian.

This is an intensive course, after 4 hours of using the right side of your brain you will be ready for a nice lunch and a glass of wine... go to top

2. Via Bellosguardo - oil on canvas 30x80 cm unframed by Angie Brooksby year 2002.

This is the road behind my house in the oltrarno. It is not so nice to paint on because cars go screeching by you. I modified the view behind the houses (artistic liscence!). Instead of seeing the Pitti palace and some roof tops, olive trees dapple the invented hills. go to top
