Paint in the Chianti Classic wine region, lunch in a nice restaurant and if you like finish the day with a wine tasting at one of the many local wineries.

PAINT WITH YOUR FAVORITE MEDIUM:

oil on canvas or acrylic on canvas or watercolor

 

These full day workshops are open to a minimum of two and a maximun of three people. They are an intensive full day oil painting course with the focus on making two paintings, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

No experience necessary, BUT DO CONSIDER THAT YOU ARE TAKING AN INTENSIVE PRIVATE LESSON WITH A HIGHLY QUALIFIED ARTIST AND IT CAN SEEM LIKE WORK... for beginners we reccomend the half day.

Reccomended a hat, comfortable shoes and clothing .

Meet at Piazza Beccaria in front of the cinema ASTRA at 8:30 AM and return to Piazza Porta Romana around 5:00 PM.

Itinerary:

8:30 am Pick up at Piazza Beccaria in front of the cinema ASTRA . Be fair to others be on time! We won't wait for you!

Drive to morning painting site 30- 40 minutes.

Paint until lunch.

Pause for lunch at a nice restaurant.

After lunch travel to a new painting site and resume painting until about 4PM. You may be ready to return to Florence or by now you may want a nice glass of wine.

If you wish we can we travel to a local winery and relax in the hands of some of the most renown chianti wine producers. * There is a supplement of Euro 20.00 per person for the wine tasting.

After the wine tasting we return to Florence where you will be dropped off at Piazza Porta Romana.

Once you return home your painting will be sent to you.

What is included in the price of the workshop:

All professional quality painting materials on loan for the lesson (easel, paints,brushes, canvas or paper chairs, etc.) tranportation to and from Florence, lunch, cleaning up after the workshop, and the shipment of your finished oil paintings to your home.

Refundable deposit required for reservation

Euro 200   All included  * wine tasting extra  *

Euro 170 for those who provide all of their own painting materials

Euro 100 for non painters accompanying painters based upon space availability includes transportation and lunch

Euro 20 * Extra cost for wine tasting.  *

Note for non painters This is painting workshop and it is not a guided tour of monuments or towns or the countryside. It is an intensive course painting in the countryside.  There are plenty of beautiful places to photograph.

Workshop FAQ:

Q.: What if I am staying in a house in Chianti, do I have to come to Florence to meet you?
A.: The pick up is usually in Florence but if you are staying in the area between Florence and Castellina in Chianti we can arrainge to meet somewhere else.

Q.: What if it rains?
A.: In case of rain classes will be cancelled or may be rescheduled based upon availability. If cancelled your deposit will be refunded.

Q.: Who will be teaching the workshop?
A.: Based upon availability the Chianti workshops will be taught by Gene Baldini . see his profile

Q.: Can someone come along who is not interested in painting but who wants to join us?
A.: Based upon availability non painters accompanying painters may come. The price of Euro 100 includes transportation and lunch for non painters. The purpose of these workshops is for painting En Plein Air in Chianti. This is not a guided tour of monuments or towns. We are in the countryside painting.  If non painters come along they have to follow our schedule and cannot hinder the painting process.

Q.: How do I reserve a workshop?
A.: First email Gene Baldini to make sure that the dates you are interested in are available, then to reserve you must send a refundable deposit fee.
